Scientific publications and ongoing research

Our research focuses on the taxonomy, biogeography, ecology and conservation of bryophytes, with particular emphasis on poorly documented taxa, habitats and geographical regions.

Current and recent research includes:

• bryophyte diversity and ecology in the Arabian Peninsula, including Saudi Arabia;
• bryophyte communities and floristic diversity of AlUla and Khaybar;
• bryophyte diversity in the Sarawat Mountains of south-western Saudi Arabia;
• taxonomy and biogeography of poorly known or newly recorded bryophytes;
• Mediterranean and North African bryofloristic studies;
• ecology and conservation of rare and threatened bryophytes in France and Europe.

Our work combines field investigations, herbarium and microscopic studies, ecological data and, where relevant, molecular approaches. Results are published in scientific journals or developed through ongoing collaborative research.
